Who is the picture of ? It is Shri. K. Pattahbi Jois of Mysore, recently deceased founder of the Ashtanga Vinyasa form of yoga. He and Mr Iyengar studied together with Krishnamacharya, and then developed the teachings in their own ways.
There are several world-class Ashtanga Vinyasa teachers in Goa: we are very fortunate.
Pattabhi Jois has two particularly well known sayings:
'Practice, practice and all is coming' and 'Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory'.
Goa also offers Scaravelli teachers, and those following the Iyengar style. All are forms of Hatha Yoga.
